Phase 1 & 2 of 6 completed in Dublin project
Phase 1 & 2 of a 6-phase project are now complete at a site in Dublin – the first phase involved working in a clean room environment lifting an old (life expired) 30m crane (in sub-assemblies) out through a purpose made hole in the warehouse roof and lifting the new crane (in component form / minor sub-assemblies) in through the same purpose made hole in the roof.
This was a complex job and involved working at height, using a subcontract crane provider (a wheeled 300t and 90T mounted crane) to lift the life expired warehouse crane out and the new warehouse crane in. Welding, ventilation, creating an airtight enclosure, removing and refitting the long travel bottom rail (125m) and removing and replacing the long travel top rail (125m).
The hmhs team are looking forward assisting in completing this project – watch this space.
