Installing Daifuku Cranes

Herts Mechanical Handling Services (hmhs) undertook a new installation project, which included upgrading our client's crane systems. The primary objective, of this project was to enhance efficiency and reliability of their warehouse, by replacing their existing cranes with new ones, supplied by Daifuku.

The project commenced with the decommissioning two existing cranes, installing new, and two new cranes.

As with any complex project it does come with challenges, but at hmhs we know it’s about how you approach such challenges.

The ability of the engineering team to adapt and overcome unforeseen problems was crucial to minimising delays and ensuring the project progressed.

This progressive project, will see the hmhs team install two cranes every three weeks and will run until a total of nine cranes have been installed with the supporting track. The first phase of this project has been delivered successfully, and the team have the experience to deliver the subsequent installations with the completion of this project looking to be Christmas.
